Thank you all for your responses. I was the original poster on Literature Network (I go by Reepicheep there. obviously that name is taken here) I did notice one big difference in the three situations. Diggory did the right thing and Lucy did not. Maybe Aslan just left that clause out. Nobody is ever told what would have happened [if you had done the right thing instead]. In Diggory's case He found it necessary to convince him that he had done the right thing. BTW I didn't know C.S. Lewis ever went by Jack :shocked:
