That's awful about the adult one being killed. Hope whoever caught him didn't get their wish!

"And this is the marvel of marvels, that he called me, Beloved, me who am but as a dog---" Emeth.
And as He spoke He no longer looked to them like a lion; But the things that began to happen after that were so great and beautiful that I cannot write them.

Did Narnians have to kill the White Stag in order to get their wish?

I think when I first read LWW, I had the feeling that there was more skill involved in capturing it, rather than killing it from afar.

So, the wish would be granted with the more skilful endeavour of capture, and latterly I took the view that maybe killing it would sort of incur a reverse wish, so to speak
Call yourself a dog???? I've seen better hair on a lavatory brush!!!

"...about long hunting parties after the milk white stag who could give you wishes if you caught him . . ."

Wouldn't he find it hard to grant wishes if he were dead? :toothy-grin:

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best -- " and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.
