A rhyme in one of the books

In one of the wardrobe-books. The two main characters come to a big chamber where there are lots of statues (i think). Ther is also a small gong or bell or something and underneath it is written a poem, the gist of which is something like "if you don't ring the bell and see what happens you will go mad wondering what would have happened".
Does anybody know this rhyme? I want to know it.
