Wow, that makes you quite a senior reader! I was born about 2 months after the final book was published.

I read half of LWW at about 13, and was at the wrong age. Didn't come back to them until 18 1/2, and have loved reading them ever since.

Haha! I try very hard not to sound like that, but it's still the best way to identify kiwi/Aus accents - ask them to say "Sydney".

Born and bred here, of English parentage, have lived in England for about 2 1/2 years altogether, where I spoke as un-kiwi as possible! When I started school I had something of a northern English accent, which gradually faded out as I approximated the other children's speech.

It seems like I have similarities with Shasta. Hmm...

Prince Rilian was weak while under the spell of the Emerald Witch, but he became much stronger after being freed from her power. Before that Jill and Eustace thought he was a "sap", but that wasn't his true self. He helps them get back to Narnia by destroying the silver chair along with the witch herself.

Not to mention that as the King he ushered in the last age of Narnia, and had many descendants culminating in the noble young King Tirian, last king of Narnia. Bittersweet  but a history to be proud of nonetheless. :pleased:
