That seems logical. It's a shame the Narnians didn't have the good sense to take seed from the tree, to plant saplings and eventually have a successor... it's a bit like the White Tree of Gondor.

On the plus side when it blew down in the gale at least Digory had the sense to turn the wood into a very fine wardrobe.
This product does not require batteries
