Puddleglum is not among the prophets!

We had a very attractive dusting of snow falling this morning. And then in the Wardrobe, the quote of the day is Puddleglum asserting that we won't notice the weather, on the very day when the weather is above all worthy of notice.

Tough luck PG, try again next time.

Well, if you were tramping across the Ettinmoors, you wouldn't be so happy about a light dusting of snow of top of your tired head. As like as not, we'd end up knifing eachother fighting over blankets.

Snow makes anything look good :). We haven't really had anything in my neck of the woods worth talking about though.

Very blustery and snowy here. Light snow, very powdery, but accumulating fast. Cold too. I am definitely noticing the weather.

Minnesota's cold seems to last longer than WA's - my cousin lives there and she's always complaining about below zero temperatures into March or even April, sometimes.
"Jill," said Tirian, "you are the bravest and most wood-wise of all my subjects, but also the most malapert and disobedient."
"By the Mane!" he whispered to Eustace. "This girl is a wondrous wood-maid. If she had Dryad's blood in her she could scarce do it better." - The Last Battle

It's only -11C here, but it seems a lot colder because we've had such a mild winter so far. Not much snow either (thank goodness!)

Here where it is still summer, we have had rain for a few days.... and we seem to have finished having long hot summers. We get nasty blustery Northwest winds which dry out the gardens and blow off half the leaves and twigs, and then cold spells and rain. It's hard for people to organise holidays, outdoor activities (eg theatre - would have liked to see the free outdoor show tonight, but I'm sure it was cancelled)

Here in New Jersey We have a huge Nor'Easter coming in Tommorow night. We are going to get slammed with at least 12 inches of snow, after having had one of the warmest winters we've ever had!

Don't laugh. The minute it goes above freezing here, all the coffee shops put out their outdoor tables and le tout Montréal takes to the terrasses.
