Hey, in my yr10 english class i am writing a report on the work of C.S. Lewis detailing when and why he wrote the Chronicles on Narnia Series. Can someone please point me in the right direction of where to look?

Hi!

Well...I know from the book that I'm using for my report that C.S. Lewis published the first book in 1950, and the last book in 1956...not so sure as to why he wrote the books though.

Hope that helps,
J

Click on "papers" near the top of this site - there is one paper called "Myth Made Truth: The Origins of the Chronicles of Narnia" that may help - and there are others as well.

“First they came for Abdul Rahman and I spoke out because I was a Muslim. Then they came for the Palestinians and I raised hell because I was a Jew. Then they came for the Iraqis and I protested because I was an American. Then they came for the Muslims and I spoke out because I was a Christian, Then they came for the poor and I spoke out because I was rich. By the time they came for me, I had all the support a man could ask for.”
