Where did Lewis say it might be good to put down his book?

Where did Lewis say it might be good to put down his book?

Please help me find this. In an essay or a non-fiction book, I think in the context of Christian morality or behavior, Lewis suggested that the right thing to do "at this moment" might well be to put down this book and go chit-chat with someone "in the kitchen". I think the idea was that sometimes we get too caught up in studying, reading, thinking -- and ignore people. Does anyone remember this? Did I dream it? Thank you!

Hoo, boy.

I know it was in Mere Christianity, in the beginning of one of the chapters... *headdesk* This is going to drive me crazy until I find it, now. But that might help a bit.

(Reason #28 why to buy the books, rather than use a library: You can't look up things in a book you don't have.)

You can search keywords inside this book that includes Mere Christianity. Hope you find it.

I think it's in The Problem of Pain where he says something like "Lay down this book and reflect for five minutes that all the major faiths developed before the discovery of chloroform."
"What are you laughing at?"
"At myself. My little puny self," said Phillipa.
