The book - presumably you're asking about The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe - is a well-established English children's classic. It is well-loved in both secular and Christian homes, and has been made into a number of stage productions as well as the BBC TV series in 1988 and several radio/audio productions. Most people have heard of the title, even if they haven't read the book. Its effect on society may well be that it upholds virtue, valour, forgiveness and redemption as themes - and for many people it gives them a new understanding of the Christian faith.
Does that help?

Is that a homework question? :/ Sorry, but sounds like exactly the sort of question that I would ask if I were a teacher.

If that really is a homework question it sounds exactly like the sort of thing that is designed to turn the student against Narnia or anything else remotely related for good. (What do they teach them in these schools?)
