Anyone seen the article on Teresa's "dark night of the soul" yet?
The Time writer makes it sound like this is some startling revelation, but First Things ran a similar article back in 2003.
Here's the Time article:

Ouch! I'm not sure I could carry on at all, with the work she did, without the sense of the Lord's presence. I think many people will be helped with the publication of her letters.

not only have they preserved what was meant to be destroyed, they have picked and chosen the bits they wish to show us...creating a window on Mother Teresa, no doubt, but controlling our view of her. and thus, i would say, distorting who she was, as a partial view is a distortion of the whole, in so many cases.
i write the entire thing off as an abomination and believe that, were one to truly love Mother Teresa, they would, at least individually, fulfill her wish and not read that which she intended to remain private.

August is also the 10th Anniversary of Mother Teresa's homegoing. Is there going to be a large stadium commemoration as for Dianna's 10th in the UK? (
