I know there is something different in tDT that has to do with the land where you dreams come true. I believe it is when they are leaving the darkness -the ending is more light in tone in the American version, and that is partly why it was changed. I think. (But don't quote me on that!) I haven't heard about Edmund/Edmond before, but I'm sure the other spellings are different. Wouldn't it be wonderful to own both versions?...

Paul Ford's Companion has a long entry on the changes. You could also look through all his posts here in the Wardrobe, I think he discusses several of the changes and the reason why in different posts.

Far more jarring than the name changes, is the changing of the end of the Dark Island chapter in VDT.

I can't order stuff on e-Bay I can only access online sources in this part of Russia at this time.. As far as I know, listing changes couldn't fall under copyright (much as some lawyers may wish they could) as long as it's fair use and not for profit . Is there a compelling reason why you don't cite that change you referred to, Sven?
