I feel your pain. I remember the days of dial-up (in the stone age ), and the hours of waiting for one page to load. Oh, the agony of impatience!
Here's a dial-up friendly version for the connection impaired.

I don't know how to ask this question...um, .... can you make the signature banners a little bit smaller? I would need one that's 300x100 max (to use on our sister site).

That last one says "Wandering" (although it might look like "Mandering"). It looks funny because the font is an Old English one where the 's' looks like an 'f', etc... So the 'w' is upside down? I don't know why.
