This week my office building is having a special week of prayer. Tuesday's prayer emphasis was to pray for things that seemed impossible. I prayed for a Prince Capsian movie that Wardrobians would all be happy about.

I don't mind the girls fighting more. Things have changed since Lewis wrote the book - back then women could only be nurses or admin and such (officially anyway) but now they are flying fighters and in the infantry. I've seen women carrying weapons almost bigger than they are going into battle. And I think, although all this would probably horrify Lewis himself, that it's a change you can make without affecting the heart and soul of the story. It's almost a necessary change for today's audience.

Here's an I just found at Christianity Today (maybe others have already read this). I'm not sure I feel as strongly on all of these points as he does, but they are interesting to think about. I probably agree most strongly with his point about Susan's character.
