A couple of you mentioned in another thread the audio book of The Screwtape Letters with John Cleese and I very much want to hear that.
But when I recently read it for the first time I pictured the voice of Stewie from Family Guy. Seriously, it works! Imagine him when he's going off on Lois ("Damn you, you lousy skank! Change my diaper!") then read the first couple paragraphs of Chapter 22. It's perfect I tell you.
I think there's some allegorical value there as well, comparing a spoiled, pretentious baby with designs on matricide and world domination with a demon.
Unfortunately this only occurs in my mind's eye. Wouldn't it be fabulous if someone could get Seth MacFarlaine to do a reading in character.
