Fasting

Postby Rosie Cotton » November 5th, 2006, 4:38 am

Yes, fasting in fellowship with other believers is much easier. Our church will have special times of fasting once or twice a year. It may be one to three days, and up to the individual to decide how many meals he/she can give up during that time -- people will often skip dinner each day, or may fast one full day. But when you have friends supporting you, it makes so much difference. I've done an individual fast as well, and it was quite hard.
... and their joy was like swords, and they passed in thought out to regions where pain and delight flow together and tears are the very wine of blessedness.
