Well I can but hope Allan :). The thing is that I sometimes wonder if Christians make these things up or embroider them.. certainly I think they ignore all the things that indicate that God is more wrathful and fearful than loving. Or maybe it's just me ;). I'm a half-empty kinda Moose.

Hope brings life, despair brings death. It seems obvious to me. If you're going to choose to hope, why not hope for the best? And nothing is better than a God who loves us all.

As we Aussies used to say (before the Ashes): She'll be right, mate.

Simmer Jr makes a valid point in response to the comments about the bible and God's wanting to save all so none would perish.

The most overlooked aspect of sin, is that there is no greater sin than the other. All are viewed as equal in God's eyes. If one acknowledges the bible as the word of God, and that there is only one way to salvation, then one must also acknowledge that they can't do it on their own, even if the the only thing that seperates that individual from utter perfection is a curse word, or the most minute sin in history. That's all it takes to make us unworthy of eternal fellowship with God. But that's the one unique aspect of Christianity in comparison to other religions, that God doesn't ask you to earn your salvation, but instead admit that you can't do it on your own and that you need Christ in your life to atone for the sins you have committed. A majority (And I know that is a dangerous generalization) of all major religions require one to atone for their own sins, whether it be through reincarnation or purgatory or whatever other theologies may be present in the world. All Christianity requires is acknowledgement of Christ as your Saviour...
