Calling all Wardrobians!

Calling all Wardrobians!

Postby Sven » November 24th, 2006, 3:44 pm

As we wind down to the end of another year In the Wardrobe, I'd like to encourage everyone to say 'thanks' to our genial host, John Visser, the Web Designer formerly known as Image, erm, I mean as Dr. Zeus, for all the hard work and artistic talent he brings to our little web home. Please reply with words of appreciation to John here in this thread.

Also, bear in mind that while John does all this work for free, the server the Wardrobe runs on costs a bit. I'd like to encourage everyone to consider donating something. For full information on how to donate, with complete safety and anonymity, click or on the 'donate' button in the upper right of this page.

If you plan on buying books from Amazon.com, click on 'bookstore' above, and go to Amazon via any link in the Wardrobe bookstore. That's for any book, not just the ones listed in our bookstore. Amazon will give the Wardrobe a few cents off your purchase, which will go to help with server costs.

And, if you or anyone you know needs the service of a website and graphics designer team, send them on to
. Anyone who has seen the Wardrobe knows they do good work!

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

Thanks Sven, and thank you John.

Is there a place I could send a check? I refuse to own a credit card.

Let me add my voice to the chorus of gratitude to you, John. You're most generous to devote such time, effort and care to our community here.

Many thanks!

Thank you ever so much, John. This is the only forum I hang around in regularly, or at all really, which says a lot for your splendid service, as well as the quality of folks in general.

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best -- " and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.

Media vita in morte sumus.

"Love loves unto purity...it strives for perfection, even that itself may be perfected - not in itself, but in the object...Therefore all that is not beautiful in the beloved, all that comes between and is not of love's kind, must be destroyed. And our God is a consuming fire...that only that which cannot be consumed may stand forth eternal." - George MacDonald

I'm taking the sticky off of this thread, so it's going to drift on down and away. Anyone who's been meaning to post a to John and hasn't had a chance is invited to go ahead and do so.
