"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best -- " and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.

People flock in, nevertheless, in search of answers to those questions only librarians are considered to be able to answer, such as "Is this the laundry?" "How do you spell surreptitious?" and, on a regular basis, "Do you have a book I remember reading once? It had a red cover and it turned out they were twins." ~Terry Pratchett, about libraries
And we shall reach zero at some point. :)

the lamp post

Postby Joyseeker » January 10th, 2006, 5:25 pm

Let me know what you all think....

I'm 99% sure I saw the lamp post as having only one arm in the film. Film stills I've dug up on the web also seem to show it as one-armed.

I think the arm of the lamp post that Jadis yanked in London and threw at Aslan in Narnia grew into what it came from....which was (now) a one-armed lamp post.

I find that detail so delicious! :pleased:

Edited to bump up in hopes of discussion!
