Narnia video game

Postby Carrie » November 17th, 2005, 5:21 am

Well, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe video game came out in the US yesterday (the 15th). I'm not about to actually purchase the game, but, I had a little bit of time today, so I decided to rent it. As far as video games go, it's so-so (but I don't play video games very often, so maybe my opinion is skewed). It doesn't follow the plot of the book at all, but, then, I didn't expect a video game that requires constant action to do so. The most interesting thing about the game is the fact that it uses real clips from the movie here and there, including clips that have not been in the previews. But I wouldn't recommend playing the game just to see the clips.

Thanks for posting that little review/summary of the game. I had thought about purchasing it for my little brother for Xmas, but well.....we'll see. He already plays too many video games anyway. Maybe I'll get him a book; much better. ;)

"Jill," said Tirian, "you are the bravest and most wood-wise of all my subjects, but also the most malapert and disobedient."
"By the Mane!" he whispered to Eustace. "This girl is a wondrous wood-maid. If she had Dryad's blood in her she could scarce do it better." - The Last Battle

Rat! he found breath to whisper, shaking. Are you afraid?
Afraid? murmured the Rat, his eyes shining with unutterable love.
Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet -- and yet -- O, Mole, I am afraid!
Then the two animals, crouching to the earth, bowed their heads and did worship.
