Many of the adult actors from the BBC versions were very good, but one of these is not the woman who played, Jadis, the Hag and the Lady of the Green Kirtle. Talk about over-acting. Whereas Tilda Swinton was frightening as the White Witch with the calm unerving evil she portrayed.

I honestly must disagree, warrior, I think Barbara Kellerman was great in all three roles (White Witch, the Hag & the Lady of the Green Kirtle), as she was believeable in each of them and so different in each of them. Certainly her portrayal of the White Witch does seem to to be a bit over-the-top, but when you compare them to her portrayal of the other two characters, I must say that she portrays them each so differently and so convincingly, and after all, Jadis does seem a bit prone to those outbursts at times, which BK did do.

That said, I must completely agree with you about Tilda - wow! She was incredible - incredibly evil in the role! She just seemed soooo full of hate! It just made Edmund seem like so much more of an idiot for being sucked into her lies...*shudders*

"Jill," said Tirian, "you are the bravest and most wood-wise of all my subjects, but also the most malapert and disobedient."
"By the Mane!" he whispered to Eustace. "This girl is a wondrous wood-maid. If she had Dryad's blood in her she could scarce do it better." - The Last Battle
