Chapter Nine
In the Witch's House

"And now of course you want to know what had happened to Edmund. He had eaten his share of the dinner, but he hadn't really enjoyed it because he was thinking all the time about Turkish Delight — and there's nothing that spoils the taste of good ordinary food half so much as the memory of bad magic food."
"You can't go walking through Mordor in naught but your skin."

"Jill," said Tirian, "you are the bravest and most wood-wise of all my subjects, but also the most malapert and disobedient."
"By the Mane!" he whispered to Eustace. "This girl is a wondrous wood-maid. If she had Dryad's blood in her she could scarce do it better." - The Last Battle

Forgive me if this has already been answered (im new).

Does anyone have an explanation of what happened to the Tree that prevented the white witch from re-entering Narnia?

Getting back to the original question, Here's my thoughts. Perhaps the Tree of Protection is part of the Deep magic. For example, the Witch ate from a tree in the walled garden which would give one their hearts desire as well as despaire. Maybe part of her heart's desire was for traitors to belong to her as her lawful prey and that for every treachery she has the right to kill. Maybe this was part of her heart's desire? After all, the walled Garden was there since the beginning of Narnia. :/
