I think a lot of people miss the point when they see Susan being left out in LB and get upset. Here's the thing: C.S. Lewis went through the same thing. And then came back to the faith. Susan is more than likely to do the same thing. She's still alive, for Pete's sake. She's got time to come back to the light.

On a side note: I can't believe some people see Last Battle as a depressing book. I think it's the happiest of the seven (other than the fact that it's the end of a great story, which makes me sad).

I agree, I think that The Last Battle book is very happy. Mostly at the end though. I love the part when they meet everyone from the past books, Puddlegum, Glimfeather, Kings and Queens, Fledge, The beavers and Tumnus, and reepicheep and others. It may not have been that happy when Aslan was destroying Narnia, but it was nice to know that the New Narnia was the REAL one. I like that one better. Still though, i was pretty sad to find out Susan wasn't there. :/ It seemed something was missing without her. But i do think that somehow she'll get into the Real Narnia with everyone else later. By Aslan probably.

Well, if you'd like to go back to the thread where my poems are, you will find that I also wrote about Susan, and gave her "a new ending" with a personal twist to it.

Without my friends or cousins, I don't make sense. Life would be somewhere not worth my time.

I like to think If poor Joy hadn't passed on; if Lewis had felt he had more time to be creative; perhaps he would have written a story about Susan's redemption. Wouldn't that have been wonderful?

If Lewis himself had not been unwell, we might have seen some reviewing of the stories. Maybe even writing about the in-between stories, or discussing the possibilities for Susan. But he died only a few years after Joy, and did not write about Narnia again.
