Order of 1234567

Postby DonIncognito » April 28th, 2006, 11:31 am

I am a member of the Order of 1234567! No, I do not refer to this false order (6152347) that is being peddled of late! I proclaim that CoN will always and forever be ordered with LWW being book 1; HHB being book 5; and MN being book 6! The faith of the 2456317 club is lukewarm at best! Calling oneself a member of the 2456317 club acknowledges the legitimacy of these false orders and represents a compromise with apostates! I condemn your pathetic "polyorderism!"

Five pillars of 1234567:

1. Proclaim the Orderahadah: There is no order but 1234567 and C.S. Lewis is its prophet!

2. Post five times per day in honor of 1234567, preferably while facing east!

3. Fast whenever at the board during the holy month of Orderadan, the 11th month of the calendar, and also the month of the Prophet's birth!

4. Donate at least 2.5 percent of your salary or 20-25 percent of your crops to those members of 1234567 who are in need!

5. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you will pledge to at least once in your life enjoy reading the CoN in 1234567 order!

Some say there is a sixth pillar of 1234567, called "Orderhad." This is debated amongst orderlogians. Those who follow Orderhad (called Orderhadis) are called upon to wage holy war by proclaiming the idiocy of those who would blaspheme the true order!

Were it so possible, 1234567 would ban possession of books numbered in the false order. However, we recognize that because powerful apostates continue to deny us the true order, such a policy would severely hamper access to the sacred texts! We therefore mandate that all books in lawful possession of true believers be immediately renumbered by hand in permanent ink, and that the true order be passed to subsequent generations of readers! But let it be known a fatwa is proclaimed against the apostate Douglas Gresham! We pray that the prophet's own stepchild will see the error of his ways and return the sacred texts to their true order!

However, 1234567 is the current publication order, and it's wrong. We're not here to create confusion...but rather, to promote clarity. We seek to enlighten the curious and forlorn, and bring them inner peace through 2456317. It's only by taking them by the hand, and teaching our followers to simply re-order their current editions on their bookshelves, that we can achieve Narvana.

C. S. Lewis originally had them published with no numbers at all, thus abolishing your order's existence altogether. Some prophet.

Macmillan (who was the first publishing company to order the books) is ours.

2456317 good. 1234567 bad.

If properly and well (not over under the mis-labeled "well") cooked red meat (I said and meant "red"; when I mean brown I will say so) is really so big a part of Jo's diet, it might be better for her to cultivate her "inner corn". :D

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best -- " and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.
