One thing that was good about the BBC videos was that story and dialogue was well preserved from the books with very little change. I think that the best one they made was the first one--The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Although they used a limited budget on their visual effects it actually is quite a faithful adaptation of the story. Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader were shortened, and I would have liked the Dawn Treader to be longer since it is my favorite book in the series. I liked Tom Baker as Puddleglum-- in the The Silver Chair he gave life to the character. I also liked the actors that played the children, especially those in the roles of Lucy, Edmund, Eustuce, and Jill.
But if you want a real experience, read the books, which are far better than any video or film.
