Too bad we can't get covers done by Bob Pepper. Here is a cover by him for Lord Dunsany's King of Elfland's Daughter, one of my favourite all-time fantasy book covers (this is from the Ballantine Adult Fantasy -- no, no, not that kind -- paperback series back in the early 70's. The image wrapped all around the front, spine, and back of the book, thus the wide-screen appearance):

For me his style has just the right mix of stylized abstraction and realism and wonderful "sixties" brilliant colour without getting too over-the-top-psychedelic
